How I stopped counting calories (and ignored the media)

If you’re sick of feeling crap, judged or unworthy of happiness, I’m here to help. I know all too well the pressures of trying to fit in and look and certain way. There was a time when I was pushed to be a certain size – I was miserable – and it wasn’t even possible for me to change my body shape. But this turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to me. It pushed me to change my thinking and take control. And here’s how I did it:

No 1. I stopped comparing myself to others
You’ve got to stop! It took me till I was 19/20 to truly realise my body was unique and it was mine – so why would I want it to look like someone else? The more you compare yourself, the more you’ll battle with insecurities and negative thoughts. Instead, just focus on being the best version of you.

No 2. I stopped following negative people
This one’s about social media. Stop following people who make you feel bad, negative, jealous or insecure. I did! And block trolls ASAP! No one needs that in their life. That’s why my program includes an incredible Facebook community which is a safe place for my members to chat, share photos and ask for advice.

No 3. I hung around people who made me feel good
It really is as simple as that. I chose to spend time with people who were supportive, warm and caring. Their energy was vibrant and made me feel happy. Remember, it’s not selfish to put yourself first.

No 4. I said goodbye to old clothes
I call it the wardrobe graveyard: holding onto clothes that are too small for us hoping that one day they’ll fit. Get rid of anything NOW that you don’t fit into. Who cares if you’re a bigger size. You are enough and you are perfect the way you are.

No 5. I created the mirror challenge
I made myself look in the mirror and find things I loved. It’s scary at first and you may feel a little vulnerable. But it works! Look in the mirror and find 10 things you love about yourself: three about your personality and seven about your body. And if you can find more, that’s fantastic. The more things the better.

Who cares what the media says. Who cares what other people look like. It’s time to love you and what your body can do. If you’re ready to revolutionise how you think and feel about yourself, join my brand-new health, fitness and lifestyle program now.
