The last remaining dinosaurs

Children’s books often leave us feeling nostalgic. From beautiful illustrations to stunning typography to the smell of the paper, they ignite our sense of imagination. So, when asked to create an entry for B&T’s Agency of the Year, we decided to make CHE Proximity’s very first children’s book – but for adults.

The Last Remaining Dinosaurs (and how we killed them with frickin’ lasers) tells the story of how CHE created the agency of the future. An agency that’s constantly striving to innovate, break stuff, fix stuff and reinvent prehistoric approaches to advertising. To demonstrate CHEP’s weapons of mass destruction (new-age thinking), we used lasers to kill the dinosaurs (the old way of thinking).

I wrote the whole story and worked with key stakeholders to ensure CHEP’s accolades, culture, business development and financials were cleverly weaved into the copy . I was also in charge of illustrations and worked alongside an illustrator to help bring this book to life.

The Winner Of Most Impressive B&T Awards Entry

CHEP may not have won, but my children’s book certainly did not go home empty-handed. The Last Remaining Dinosaurs won B&T’s most impressive entry, proving that the power of storytelling is far from prehistoric.
